Mike White leads the “White Hot” Jets into Indy to take on Carson Wentz and the Colts. And despite Wentz doing his best to prove he’s wild and out of control, I expect the Colts to run the ball a lot on their way to winning a close game.
Colts Running Game
Expect to see a lot of Jonathan Taylor on Thursday Night Football. The Indianapolis Colts have a significant statistical advantage when comparing their offensive line performance to the Jets defensive line’s ability to stop the run so far this season.
Middle of the Field
When it comes to throwing the ball, Carson Wentz should be focused on leveraging the advantage the Colts have in the middle zone of the field. The Colts passing game has shown success in this area, while the Jets defense consistently struggles.
Colts Run Defense
Jets QB Mike White will likely get plenty of opportunities to throw the ball because the Indianapolis Colts defense is very like to shut down the Jets running game.
Jets Best Chance is Through The Air
While I do believe the Colts will ultimately win this game, I expect it to be close and come down to the final few possessions. If the Jets want to win this game they need Mike White to continue delivering through the passing game.
The offensive line should be able to hold up long enough that the receivers have a reasonable amount of time to get open. If they are able to do so then it’ll be up to Mike White to deliver the ball, and keep pace with the Colts scoring.
