In what turned out to be an exciting, close back and forth battle between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, the the Rams star receiver took over when it mattered most. Kupp’s Super Bowl performance finished off what is quite possibly the best season ever by a wide receiver.
Capping Off Incredible Season
All season long the Rams offense has featured a must-see attraction in the way of Cooper Kupp, a.k.a Mr. Everything. Kupp finished the season as the top wide receiver with 145 catches for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. He lead the league in all three of those categories, and beyond the numbers Kupp was able to make big plays in big moments all season.
Super Bowl Sunday was no different, as Kupp showed up in a big way, especially in the end during the moments when it mattered most.
Game Winning Drive
With the team trailing 16-20 with 6:13 remaining in the game, the Rams offense embarked on an incredible 15 play 79 yard drive that ended with the go ahead touchdown scored by none other than Cooper Kupp. It total on the drive, Kupp was involved in 7 of the 15 plays on that final drive.
Super Bowl MVP Honors
In total Cooper Kupp had 8 catches on his 10 targets, totaling 92 yards and 2 touchdowns, and with his performance on that final drive, it came as no surprise when Kupp was awards the Super Bowl MVP. What an incredible season for Cooper Kupp, definitely one for the record books.
