The 2021 NFL Season is finally here, and that means football betting season is back! Time to make some money and have a little fun on a Sunday. Here are the picks that I think are the best for the day. Whether bet individually, or combined in a parlay, these are the bets you need to make.
Buffalo Bills -6.5
Josh Allen has shocked many with his incredible rise and ongoing improvements from year to year. The addition of Stephon Diggs spawned a beautiful QB to WR connection, and the Bills offense instantly became a top level down the field threat. This game features teams headed in opposite directions, with the Bills entering the season as legitimate Super Bowl contenders, and the Steelers continuing to deny the need for a serious rebuild. I believe Big Ben will struggle against the Bills defense, Bills win by double digits.
Minnesota Vikings -3
This pick is mostly based on the fact that the Vikings opponent is the Cincinnati Bengals. The Vikings are a solid overall team, and though not necessarily “one of the best” teams in the league, they’re good on both Offense and Defense. The Bengals aren’t necessarily great any anything, and Bengals QB Joe Burrow is coming off an injury. Even with the game being in Cincinnati, Vikings should win by a touchdown if not more.
Indianapolis Colts +3
This game featured the most line movement, as it opened with the Indianapolis Colts -2 and has swung by 5 points with the Seattle Seahawks now being offered at -3. I’m intrigued anytime I can get point with a home team. Especially when the home team is no slouch. The Colts are a very good team, and so are the Seahawks, but I see these teams as being similar in terms of overall performance. Therefore I have to take the Colts and the points because it just makes too much sense no to.
New York Giants +3
I picked this game partially due to the fact that I’m getting 3 points for another home team. However, in my opinion the Giants stink. But the Broncos also stink, and are traveling across county for a week one matchup. Saquon Barkley is expected to play, and I expect the Giants to catch the Broncos off guard a bit. Honestly though this is the pick I have the least confidence in out of the 5 listed here.
Cleveland Browns +5.5
The Cleveland Browns head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in week one in a playoff re-match from last season. The Browns enter the season with high hopes of an even deeper playoff run this year, and the Chiefs look to reestablish their spot stop the AFC. I think this game will simply mean more to the Browns than the Chiefs, and therefore I’m taking the Browns and the points.
