As we enter this week, perennial winners such as Alabama, Green Bay, Tom Brady, the Braves and Dodgers are struggling or no longer competing. Aaron Rodgers and TB12 look like they have retired and are just collecting game checks. Nick Saban and the Tide have been watching leaks in their dam build for weeks and those finally burst on Rocky Top. We all were ready for Braves / Dodgers Part 3, but the teams both failed to conquer their division foes to make that happen. As they say, times they are a changing across the sports world.
As most sports are charging ahead, we enter week 2 of the NHL and the NBA joins the party. The Warriors fought each other in training camp; starting Tuesday, they start to fight the Association as they defend their title. I like the Milwaukee Bucks to win the East after missing out on the conference finals last year. The West is loaded, but hard to bet against Stef and Golden State right now. In the end, Giannis and the Bucks will capture their second title in 3 years if Middleton, Lopez, and Holiday can stay healthy.
