The Cowboys and Chargers battled to the end in a game that came down the the final possession, when Greg “The Leg” Zuerlein hit a 56-yard field goal as time expired to give the Cowboys the 20-17 victory. Despite the exciting finish, the majority of this game was anything but.

Ezekiel Elliott Gets 1st TD of 2021

Ever since holding out and eventually signing a massive contract extension, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has struggled to regain his pre-holdout form. Today he managed to find the end zone for the first time this season.

Dak Prescott 0 Touchdowns On The Day

Despite not having a touchdown pass on the day, Dak Prescott completed 23 of his 27 pass attempts for 237 yards and an interception. The thrown that was intercepted was definitely a questionable decision by Dak. That or his receiver ran the wrong route. Whatever the reasoning, Asante Samuel Jr. was ready and waiting to capitalize on the mistake.

Justin Herbert Struggles, Throw 2 INTs

The Los Angeles Chargers franchise QB struggled against the Dallas Cowboys in terms of turning the ball over multiple times. Herbert had a decent day other than the two interceptions, completing 31 passes for a total of 338 yards and 1 touchdown. In the end, the turnovers were too much for Herbert and the Chargers to overcome.

The alarming common theme between the two picks is the fact that in each it appears that Herbert does not see/does not anticipate that the defender is in position to make a play on the ball.

Conclusion

If you watched this game from start to finish, I feel bad for you. Even as a small part in a rotation of games, it was by far the least interesting game to watch in long stretches. Long drives resulting in no points were a common theme of the day.

Barstool’s Big Kat Said It Best

Even Mike McCarthy Seemed To Fall Asleep From Boredom

The Dallas Cowboys are no strangers to terrible clock management at the end of games, that was a special skill possessed former coach Jason Garrett. Well Cowboys fans, Mike McCarthy is proving to be anything but an upgrade.

So basically, Mike McCarthy just casually admitted that he was not watching the clock at the end of the game. The board you were watching went out? Perhaps your view was blocked? But Kellen had one he could see? Why would you not just watch the same one? SO many questions come to mind. This man is truly an enigma.
