2023 BOWL GAME PROJECTIONS

As of November 15th, we have a shortage of bowl eligible teams. With 2 weeks remaining in the regular season, there are only 58 bowl eligible teams to fill 82 slots. This epidemic of losing does have a silver lining and that’s because it would allow James Madison and Jacksonville State to go bowling. Their waiver was denied to play in a bowl game and a conference championship game, but there is a by-law that allows them to go bowling if there aren’t enough eligible teams. If teams can’t get the needed 6 victories then we’re left with 5-7 teams being rewarded for losing. There are too many bowl games and this is the nuclear option that doesn’t promote winning football games. I have projected the bowl participants below for the upcoming College Football Bowl Season and these are as of November 15th.
