THIS WEEK IN SPORTS: MARCH 20TH — 26TH

We have arrived at a week that college basketball teams dream to be a part of, the Sweet 16 and Elite 8. The NIT also moves into the quarterfinals and semifinals on their road to Vegas. We will have a Champion crowned this week as the World Baseball Classic arrives at the Championship Game on Tuesday. This is also the last full week of Spring Training since Opening Day is 10 days away. The NBA has 2 weeks left in the regular season and the NHL has 3. There are a bunch of playoff spots up for grabs as we head toward the end. The MLS schedule moves into Match Day 5, over the weekend. The European Domestic Soccer Leagues are off due to the International Competition Break. The XFL moves into Week 6 of the season. The NFL moves into the first full week of the league year and we all still wait on Aaron Rodgers to officially be traded and if Lamar Jackson will sign a contract extension with someone.

If you’re looking for a great podcast, tune into and subscribe to The Irrational Confidence Podcast (@IRConfidencePod on Twitter). We release 2 college football episodes a week during the season and throw in NFL and college basketball episodes in between. We currently have 2 exclusive interview episodes available on all platforms. The interviews available now are with former NFL Assistant Coach Paul McCord and EA Sports Writer and Designer Christopher Davis. You can find our podcast on every platform as well as the Spinnable Sports YouTube Channel. You can also find our episode taking a look at the amazing career of LeBron James and his chase for the scoring record. In addition to our nod to LeBron, we just released an insightful episode looking at the future of college sports. It is focused on the changing landscape of college athletics and potential conference realignment ideas. We’re also dropping an episode taking a look at who we think the best NCAA Tournament champion really is going back over the past 35 years. Our preview of the Sweet 16 & Elite 8 will also drop this week and we’ll give our updated predictions on who will cut down the nets. Another reason to subscribe to the Spinnable Sports YouTube Channel is to catch the Photo Finish Podcast that is focused on all things horse racing.
