Ohio State Struggles To Put Away Tulsa, Fans Doubting Stroud & Day

Buckeye fans everywhere were disappointed and embarrassed by the team’s performance today against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, and the blame is being split in two directions: Quarterback CJ Stroud and Head Coach Ryan Day.

Stroud’s Struggles Continued

The Buckeyes starting QB struggled with inconsistent accuracy, resulting in multiple overthrows and one interception. an interception that resulted from the fact that Stroud did not recognize the safety was sitting in perfect position to capitalize on the turnover opportunity.

The QB’s inability to recognize the coverage is a definite red flag, and when combined with his inconsistent accuracy it’s making some fans wonder if it’s time to explore other options on the roster at the position.

Buckeye Defense Has Been Terrible

Today’s game: 428 passing yards given up, to Tulsa. The Ohio State defense gave up over 400 passing yards to Tulsa. Let that sink in.

TreyVeon Henderson Saves The Day

Despite the struggles the Ohio State passing game faced, TreyVeon Henderson ran all over the Tulsa defense finishing the day with 277 yards on 24 carries and 3 touchdowns.

Fans Doubting Ryan Day

The Buckeye fan base has high expectations for the program, and thus those one leadership positions are often held to a very high standard in regards to winning and performing on the field.
